About these terms

These terms cover the Quiet Rain Meadow website and the way appointments are arranged through it. By using the site, or by asking us for a session, you accept them. They are written in plain English; the operator details required by Japanese law are in our commercial transactions notice.

What this website is

The site is an introduction to a small relaxation and bodywork practice. It is information only. Nothing here is an offer that you can accept just by reading it, and there is no online shop, no online booking and no online payment.

Not medical advice

Sessions and articles at Quiet Rain Meadow are about relaxation, rest and taking time to slow down. They are not medical treatment, and we do not diagnose, cure or promise to relieve any illness, pain or condition. Nothing on this site replaces the advice of a doctor. If you are unwell, injured, pregnant, recovering from surgery or unsure whether bodywork suits you, see a doctor first and tell us when you write. If you feel unwell during or after a session, tell us at once and seek medical help if you need it.

Arranging an appointment

An appointment exists only when we have confirmed a day, a time and a session length to you in writing, by email. Writing to us, filling in the form or leaving a message does not hold a place. Visits are by appointment only, Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00-19:00; we are closed on Sunday and Monday.

Fees and payment

Fees are not listed on this website. We tell you the fee for your session length in writing before the appointment is confirmed, and you pay at the end of the session in cash or by bank transfer. We do not accept cards at this time. The details are repeated in our commercial transactions notice.

Changing or cancelling

If you need to move or cancel an appointment, write to us as early as you can so that the time can be offered to someone else. This website does not set a cancellation fee; if one applies, it will be stated in the written confirmation you receive before the appointment is confirmed.

Telling us what matters

Please tell us about anything that bears on a session: an injury, a recent operation, pregnancy, a skin condition, or anything a doctor has told you to avoid. We may decline or adjust a session if we think it is not right for you, and you can ask us to stop at any moment.

Visiting the practice

When you come, please arrive on time so that the whole session fits before the next appointment, and tell us by email or phone if you are running late. A session that starts late may have to be shortened rather than disturb the next visit. Shoes come off at the door. If you feel unwell on the day, it is better to move the appointment than to come.

Images and content

The texts on this site are our own unless credited. You may view and link to the pages for personal use; please do not copy them onto another site. The photographs are illustrative stock images and do not show the practice or its visitors unless a caption says so.

Accuracy

We try to keep the information here accurate, but opening hours, session lengths and other details can change before the site is updated. The site is an overview; what we confirm to you in writing takes precedence over it.

Links and email

Our pages link only to other pages of this site. Messages are sent from your own email program, and we see the contents of the form only if you send the email.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Quiet Rain Meadow is not liable for indirect loss arising from the use of this website or from relying only on the general information in it. Nothing in these terms limits liability where Japanese law does not allow it to be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms when needed. The text on this page is the version in force.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Japanese law. Disputes are for the courts that have jurisdiction over Yonago, Tottori.
